It is no surprise that there are thousands of people in Haiti who live in poverty and whose homes are made of sticks and scraps of metal. They pray every night that God will provide a safe and sturdy home. We pray that God will provide for all His children who are in need, but the reality is that we must help one family at a time.

You may wonder how Hope Rising Haiti selects the families for whom we build houses. The process begins with our local committee. There are four men who are part of the local communities they serve and they are the initial point of contact for incoming requests.

We are humbled to have built homes for many families in rural Haiti, but there are many more families still praying that God will answer their prayers.  We’d like to introduce you to some of the families who are waiting for homes.
