It’s difficult to imagine not having a reliable water source in your home, much less in your town! Thanks to the prayers and generous supporters of Hope Rising Haiti, we were able to provide the community of Thomassique with safe, clean water.

Before the town well, only 40 percent of residents in Thomassique had water in their homes (usually kept outside the front door). That number drops to 15 percent in the surrounding villages. For many years the town relied on a well that had been drilled many years ago, but that well finally stopped working and collapsed.

With the prayers and support of our Hope Rising Haiti partners, we were able to drill a new, larger well to meet the critical needs of the local school and church in Thomassique. Thought the community still has many great needs, we’re rejoicing in the blessing of clean water for them.
