Pastor Gethro is a faithful man of God with a servant’s heart and an ever-present smile. Since starting the Sarazin Church and School, he has been devoted to serving the community and bringing the gospel to as many as he can. Pastor Gethro prayed for a sturdy building for the community of Sarazin to worship and remained faithful that God would provide. The new church building was an amazing blessing for Pastor Gethro and his community.

Each Sunday morning, he and his wife convert their church campus into a “coffee house” and offer free bread to anyone who can’t afford it. Many come early and stand in line, and this simple bread ministry is vital for feeding many families in the community.

During the building of the church and school, our construction foreman, Theo Prophete (Pastor Yves’ brother), observed Pastor Gethro and his wife pouring their love, time, and energy into the people of Sarazin. They were living in a makeshift house and are in need of a sturdy replacement.

Not once did Pastor Gethro ask for anything. Inspired by the love that Pastor Gethro has for his community, Theo approached us to ask if we could build a home for Pastor Gethro and his family.
