The small Ill-a-Vache Christian Church building was completely destroyed on the satellite island off the southern coast of Haiti by Hurricane Matthew on, October 4, 2016. In the weeks following, it became an opportunity for friends and partners of Hope Rising Haiti to give generously to rebuild this church and bring hope to the community and to these courageous believers. Because of the faith and prayers of the people in the church at Ill-a-Vache, the leadership of Pastor Monclaire Tannis, and the vision of Pastor Yves of GVCM.org – the church is growing and bringing the love and hope of Jesus Christ to this growing community that has suffered so much less than one year ago.
