Living in a house with his wife, three sons, and expecting a new baby, Dunal wanted to provide his family with a safe, secure home. When we first met Dunal, he had already started work on building himself a new house. Every day, Dunal would come home from his construction job and dig the foundation by hand all by himself.

He had run out of money to finish the house but he proudly shared with us the work he had completed so far. Hope Rising Haiti partnered with Dunal to help him finish the home, and he helped us every step of the way – even after working long days at his construction job. After the home was completed, we also provided two mattresses and two chairs for the family in their new home.

Dunal is grateful for the help of Hope Rising Haiti and wants to give back by helping build homes for others in the community once his home is finished.
