A safe, permanent new home for a family
We recently agreed to help provide a new home for Bertha Mirthil and her family. Challenging and difficult circumstances have forced Bertha Mirthil’s family to move around the country, but we are hopeful that we can provide a permanent home for them to live in.
About
Bertha Mirthil and her family
Bertha Mirthil lives with her husband and children in a small home near Thomassique. Previously, she and her family had lived in Lalumloguan, a remote community that’s only accessible by foot, donkey, or motorcycle.
Life in Lalumloguan was very hard for the family, and they eventually decided to move back to Thomassique. Bertha and her husband have eight children, but their desperate financial situation forced them to send three of their children to the orphanage in Mirebalais, which is far from where the family lives.
Bertha and her husband never planned for their lives to look like this. But they still trust that God will provide for their needs. Since moving back to Thomassique, the family has found a space where they could build a house, but they don’t have enough money to start building their home.
When Hope Rising Haiti heard about the need of this family, we agreed to help raise funds to build a safe, sturdy home that they can call their own.
Please pray for this family who has endured so much, and please consider how you can help meet their need for a new home.
“I am always faithful in knowing God never forgets his children. Thank you for your love toward my family!”
