When we travel to Haiti we get to stay at the GVCM orphanage campus with 130 children and teenagers. One of the highlights of our visits is seeing the wonderful and inspiring kids that live there. One of these precious souls passed away last week.

Beautiful, 19-year-old, Flancia went be with Jesus after a sudden illness. We know that God is good and that the glory of heaven awaits all who believe in Jesus as their Savior. We praise God for Flancia’s heavenly homecoming and we await the time when we will see her again.

Flancia loved to sing worship songs in Creole and in English. She worshiped God through song everywhere she went. She sang when she was walking, sitting, waiting, getting ready, in church, or riding in a car. She was inspiring to be around because the joy of the Lord flowed from her as she worshiped God in song. We can only imagine what it is like for her now worshiping around the very throne of God with all of heaven.

TPlease join us in praying for the GVCM children, teens, and staff who are heartbroken and mourning the loss of Flancia. There will be a memorial service today for the kids at the orphanage to eulogize Flancia and celebrate her life. A funeral will be held tomorrow for the community. We are praying for God to pour His peace over all who are mourning and to give them strength in this time of great loss.
