Mia is off again to serve others in love. She has a message for you below.
Hi Everyone,
This is Mia McLaughlin and I just wanted to say thank you all so much for donating through Hope Rising Haiti to help provide Haitian families with mattresses. The number of mattresses was absolutely incredible, it was more than I’d prayed for and I am so excited to bless so many families through your donations the next couple of weeks. It is awesome!
I wanted to ask for a couple prayer requests for my upcoming time in Haiti.
-
First of all I always pray that I will be the most efficient hands and feet of Jesus during my time. So, if you guys could all just pray that I can be the most efficient hands and feet of Jesus, as I can I think that’s a really good recipe for my trip to go the best that it can.
-
And something more specific I was thinking about is actually from 1st Thessalonians 5:10, “He died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” This is something that has been on my heart and I would love prays to be an encouragement these next couple weeks, and even like in the future as an encouragement with my Haitian friends, other partners in ministry, my supporters.
-
And I pray that over you guys as well. That we would be living in a Christ-like community where part of our loving each other is encouraging one another and building each other up.
One other’s success is something so good to be celebrated and I think we all need to take part in celebrating each other’s successes. So, I would ask that you pray over a community of encouragement and building each other up, whether that’s in Haiti or at home.
Finally, later in that verse it says, “Rejoice always, pray continuously, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you.” I ask for you to pray that I would be doing God’s will, and that I would be the feet of Jesus, but this verse reminds me that God’s will is for us is “to rejoice always, pray continuously, and give thanks in all circumstances.” So, please pray for that to be my heart the next two weeks, prayers that all of my friends have that heart is all that I can ask for.
Thanks again for all of your support, I couldn’t do this without you and I’m so excited to use you donations to bless this community.
